Initially meant to be a travelogue of a journey along the river Thames, Three Men in a Boat is a humorous tale of the adventures of three friends and their dog on a bizarre boat trip. A fun interplay of youthful folly, comic songs, camping stories, and an eccentric dog, the book takes you on an amusing tour of Victorian Britain. Journey with Jerome, George, Harris, and Montmorency as they build shoddy tents, drink muddy tea, and tell stories about anything and everything they see.
About the Author
Kenneth Grahame was a British writer born on March 8, 1859 in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a student, he excelled in his studies at St Edward’s School in Oxford, but because of financial reasons could not go to university. Kenneth first began writing stories to educate and entertain his son Alistair whom he had nicknamed “Mouse” and who had several health problems. Through the book, he hoped to teach his son to be more responsible and mature in his behavior towards others.
