About the Author
Professor S.N. Dasgupta (1885 - 1952), an Indian philosopher a scholar extraordinaire, is noted for his volumes (1-5) of A History of Indian Philosophy written between 1922–1952. Dasgupta received a master’s degree in Sanskrit and Philosophy from the Sanskrit College in Calcutta. He also taught at Cambridge University. He obtained a PhD from Cambridge in 1922 and was nominated to represent Cambridge University at the International Congress of Philosophy in Paris
