In a highly visual and effective format, readers learn how to use SONAR for MIDI sequencing, digital audio recording, and mixing on a Windows computer. After laying out the basics of operating the software, this guide offers tips on using software synthesizers and plug-ins and becoming more efficient with the program. The author, Brian Smithers, offers valuable insights from his experience as a teacher, musician, composer and product reviewer as to which functions, screens, tools, and processes are most important to a novice. With no prior knowledge of the software assumed, this book is perfect for both beginners to music technology and SONAR and also for those more experienced users looking to brush up on this new version.
